Another 16-year-old was killed in Asheville this week because she was answering a text message and crossed the center line, hitting a truck. And a young girl walking along a street was killed when a driver texted this message: "Do we have enough cheese for the party?" and veered off the road, striking her. Please stop. Put your cell phone in the back seat when you drive. (Thanks to Cate Scales)

When a postcard is a piece of cake.

So agree with you about Roger Ebert’s writing. He seems to have become a much more heartful, thoughtful writer in the past few years. Our lives can be humbling and liberating at the same time.
