Why 37days?

After reading my 50@50 list, a woman named Carolynn Faulkner sent me a link to this video, saying "This may help you with #33 on your List of 50@50."

Number 33? "Learn to stop making excuses."

This did it.

Thanks, Carolynn.

37days Make 10 Challenge: What would happen if you stopped yourself from making excuses? Just for one day. Just today. And then perhaps tomorrow, too.

    This is…SPOT ON!

Thanks for posting this, Patti and thanks to Carolyn for passing it along to you. It’s inspiring me to make a video of my own excuses. Now…if I could just figure out how to work this camera-thing on my new computer. Is that an excuse? Probably. (:

    OH MY GOD YES!!!!
My husband used to piss me off on a regular basis with his Nike “just do it” spirit. I love him for that.

    Thanks

‘I’m Beautiful’ by Bette Midler. if you can find it, take a
listen. i’m computer-challenged, or i’d send it to you!

I could definitely hear my own voice among those excuses. This is a perfect wake-up call. Thanks for posting!

Well, I guess I WILL walk over to the post office and the store instead of sitting inside for my lunch hour today.

This ranks right up with my favorite Nike slogan: Either you ran today or you didn’t.

This is one of my favorite ads. For a while, any time I or my workout partner would begin moaning about not wanting to go work out that night, the other would look at the Whining One totally deadpan and say, “My feet hurt.”

Yup. Then we Just Did It.

THIS is worth forwarding. In fact, this is worth watching every morning. I think I have a new morning ritual:)
    Thank you Patti and Carolynn.

I love wake up calls that make me sit up, pop my eyes open and say ‘Aha’! Thanks for sharing this and now I am going to work on my own 52/52 list – no more excuses !

Like I often say, adversity often strengthens character and redirects our lives in a positive direction. What a powerful message – being told to get up and stop making excuses from someone wheelchair-bound with spina bifida who obviously doesn’t make excuses.
